First day of the New Year
Well, my friend and I have decided that if we try the weight loss journey this way we will be more likely to succeed. I did lose weight not too long ago but with some medication I was put on I not only gained it back but added some to it. It not only made me gain weight but it made me really sick too. It was suppose to help with my migraines but just made everything worse. It is very hard to be so heavy, I had never been until I became pregnant, I was around 130-135 then. Now I am up to 220 now which is sooooo hard to type! This was all around ten years ago though so I really don’t have any excuse. Since I am 5′8″ tall I can hide some weight but not this much. I mean, my butt is huge!!! I think that I need to lose about 75 pounds, that would get me to 145, which I think is perfect.
I have been reading Make Over Your Metabolism by Robert Reames and have decided to follow his advice as closely as I can. It seems to be straight forward with no gimmicks. I think the best schedule for me and my family is to do the resistance training Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This will leave me with my metabolic burst training (AKA cardio) on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. I will have Sundays off to go to church, visit family and find my joy (one of my other “goals”).
My little girl is a competitive gymnast and to lug my large self to all her meets is hard as well as embarrassing (for me not her). Everyone there is always beyond fit and they always look great. It doesn’t matter if it is the parents, coaches or team members. I really need to and want to lose this living shackle that I drag around with me everywhere. I hope writing it down for everyone to read will help me and maybe someone else.

All right I am that friend. I am waiting until tomorrow to do that infamous dreaded weigh-in. So you all will have to wait. And if you want to know you will have to read my blog. I suppose I will give my hefty measurements as well. I don’t have the fortunate height to hide my mounds. lol.
See you all tomorrow.
Having a weight loss buddy is a great way to stay motivated. Good luck you guys – I will be back and look forward to reading about your progress!
